Things are getting interesting folks. With two weeks left in the regular season we have a change at the top of the standing. The Keller Indians have now passed the Stingers for the #1 spot thanks to the Arc Angels. The Stingers were only able to manufacture one goal to the Angels four.
The Ice Gators picked up another win over the new life Jaguars. Zack Gunter picked up a pair of goals, and seems to be over his mid season drought. The Senators got back on track this week with a decisive 7-0 win over the Spider Monkeys. This keeps the Sens tied for fourth in the league with the Gators. Senators Captain, Fred Walters had his first multiple goal game with the Sens as he lit the red lamp twice, and Senators Goalie Rush Rector picks up his 2nd shut out with the Sens, coincidentally both of which were against the Spider Monkeys.
The Silver Bullets lost 6-3 against the Hurricanes, however they picked up a win via forfeit as the Hurricanes did not have enough people off their roster to play. Also the Hurricanes used a player who played with the Texas Renegades Junior team last season. The Hurricanes have had an inconsistent roster this season. The famous Greg Perry for two pucks trade did stabilize it a bit, but the Hurricanes seem to be a team in chaos for right now. Who knows what their playoff roster will look like. One thing is for sure, they lead the league in goals for with an amazing 62. The team that has allowed the fewest goals this season is the Stingers, only letting 29 hit the back of the net.
With two weeks left teams are fighting for position, looks like the week 12 matchup of the Indians and Stingers will be a battle for the number one seed.

The Stingers are lost without Player Coach Reggie Dunlop.
so what is the rule for the playoffs? as far as how many games does someone have to play to be eligible? and are teams going to be allowed to have subs play in the playoffs? i would like to see it where you have to have played atleast 6 games with a team to be allowed to play for them. and it would be nice if every team had their own goalie. because for if example what happens if the hurricanes end up playing the indians at some point? the hurricanes would have no goalie except for whoever they find to play. its been what 10 weeks now and i dont even think they have tried to find their own goalie. i mean i found one who can be their every week since bruno is out of town alot. its not that hard.
Zach Gunter Gators.
The rule has always been you need to play 3 games with a team to be playoff eligible.
If a team doesnt have enough regular players to play like what happened to the Canes this weekend then they will forfeit their playoff game.
Teams just need to make sure they have everyone there for the playoffs, and not use the subs crutch. Zack has a point the canes and indians could meet in the playoffs, and the possibility of not finding a goalie at all could very well happen. Could you imagine if a team didnt have a goalie in the playoffs? Tragic.
I am looking forward to the playoffs, it should be alot of fun.
Well, to any team that does not have a goalie for the playoffs, Best needs to stick with HIS team. I know a few teams have used him throughout the season, but we need him rested up so he can stand on his head and we can actually win another game, especially in the playoffs.

another question just out of curiousity because it said the hurricanes forfeited because of a renegade player playing for them. so why did their game that they beat us 6 to 0 count? when cory from the pro shop and renegades played for them? or was it just ok because everyone hates us?
Zach Gunter Gators
Don't cry Zach, when Cory suited up for the Hurricanes against ya'll, he didn't even put a shot on goal, so in a 6-0 game, he had little to do with the outcome.
thats not the point the rules either have to be the same for everyone or not enforced at all. they cant just be enforced at random times when someone feels like it. and i wasnt crying i was asking a question.
Zach Gunter
I think we really need to get serious about the subs next season. Zack has a good point, the Hurricanes are a great example of what can go wrong if rosters are left unchecked. Having more teams is only a good thing if those are actually teams and not just a revolving door for random people from higher leagues. Just my two cents..
Rush Rector
Senators Goalie
My two cents...
Who needs ice more than anyone? True I leagers! That's who.
So make a rule that any team picking up a sub must come from the bottom 50% of points per game players in the league. You can sort everyone each week by PPG, draw the line at the middle, and south of that line is your eligible subs.
Gives more ice to those who need it.
Prevents a team from upgrading through "subbing up"
The reason the Canes had to forfeit was not because of the one player. The reason they had to forfeit is because they only had 4 roster players. As far as the no goalie issue Andrew Busboom is a goalie and belongs to no team he is strictly a sub. So if you ever are in need of a goalie try to get him first because that's all he has. I Believe he has been e-mailing teams every weekend so make sure to get back to him.

I will make sure that Knute reviews the hurricanes, and everyones rosters from this season to make sure its all fair. Rush is correct 100% when he said the Hurricanes are an example of what can happen when rosters go unchecked. I will make sure Knute takes a look at the rosters and scoresheets to make sure everything is fair. For future reference if anyone has a problem with something like what happened last weekend with the canes and bullets just email knute, and if you dont hear from him, email me and I will make sure it gets to him.
i guess thats the way things work there are certain things i can control and certain things i cant. so as far as the things i can control if the rules are gonna be constantly changing and theres nothing i can do about it. it seems to have always been that way and wont ever change. so im gonna do the one thing i can do which is play hard and play 100% all game and play as hard as i can which isnt against any rules. so since things work the way they do its no longer my problem if somebody cant skate or control the puck and i take it. no one ever gave me any mercy or a break and the rules have always gone against whatever team im playing on. so like i said its time to control the things i can and not worry about the things i cant. and by the way if any of yall want this league to improve of change yall have to start to see the whole picture and stop being hypocrites. yall have to learn to have open minds or otherwise the things wont change!
Zach Gunter
Although it was frustrating, I understand why the Renegade player was there. They didn't have enough people, even a short bench with all the subs. I believe they could have found someone else on a more "I" level, but if that's what it takes to get those roster players that were there and paid their money just like everyone else on the ice, so be it. We still got a FFT-W!
Hmmm, let me get this straight, you cannot control the league you play in? Perhaps you need to move to Silver so once again no one will show you mercy and eventually you'll rise to that level and be better for it.
Naw, just keep stealing pucks from newbies. Better to be a big fish in a small pond than a vise versa...
some people shouldnt talk if they dont know what they are talking about...you dont understand the reason and the being screwed out of games by people and refs going on power trips.
Less QQ more Pew Pew, Kthx.
to all ther coordinators of the league. if you dont have enough players to form a team, then dont start a team. your shortchamging everyone in the league. this is ridiculous, get you shits straight, i dont want to play teams with loaded rosters and five different jerseys. or worse, i dont want to play basically scrimmage games with no refs or stats for a gimme win, its not what i pay for.
next season every coordinator should have to apply to haave a team and set their rosters prior to season starting, its not surgery, come on.
and one more thing, move up your better players. i am sure the d league has teams that need guys i mean shit. no more of this keeping teams together same roster for eight seasons, move up and get this league back, damn.
