We are two weeks away from the start of the Stanley Keg Playoffs. If the season ended right now it would be the airport boys from Mid Air in the #7 seed taking on #10 seed Spider Monkeys in the first play in game. Then we would have the #8 Silver Bullets taking on the #9 Jaguars in the other play in game. Up for grabs is the #7 and #8 seed in the big Stanley Keg playoff tournament.
Mid Air could climb out of the play in round, but their last two games are going to be tough with the Gators and Hurricanes. The Arc Angels are one point ahead of Mid Air, and they have the Bullets and Monkeys left on their schedule. So the Angels would have to lose both of those games, and Mid Air win one of their remaining games for Mid Air to climb out of the play in round. Of course Mid Air could win both games and the Angels only win one of their remaining games and the same result would be achieved. The Jags have the Stingers and Senators left on their schedule, but it looks like they are already locked in for the play in round. The Bullets face the Angels and Gators in their final two tests, and the Monkeys have the Canes and Angels in their final two.
At the opposite end of the spectrum the Indians are now ahead of the Stingers, so lets take a look at their final two weeks shall we.
The Indians have the Senators who took them to overtime last time they met, and then what should be the game of the year with the finale against the Stingers. The Stingers take on the Jaguars and then the above mentioned Indians. So if the Senators can pull off a win, and the Stingers get back on track against the Jags we will have a showdown for the number one spot in the final week. The Hurricanes could in theory still take the number one spot, but the following would have to happen: The Indians would have to drop both their final games, the Stinger would have to drop both or at least drop one, and the Hurricanes would have to win both games. We will know more after this weekend. Killer is betting on Indians Stingers in a showdown for the top spot.
The Gators and Senators cant do better than tie for number one if they both win out, and the Indians lose both of theirs as well as the Stingers losing and Canes losing, probably not gonna happen. Right now the Gators and Senators are lining up for the big Zack Gunter vs. Mac Donovan showdown. Zack is back on track scoring goals, and Mac has a Silver visor so well see.

Great post! I love the predictions!!
Sens Goalie
Speaking of Mac Donovan..What is a guy with 20 goals and 10 assists doing in I league anyway???
Mac Donovan is moving up to the Silver League next season along with four other members of the Senators team. He did pay his money just like everyone else to play the 12 games, two practices, and playoffs. So he will finish the season out with the Senators, and then move on up to the Silver next season and not play in the bronze again. Fred from the Senators is putting together a Silver League squad that will play this fall and the Senators are moving up a few guys up there, and bringing in some completely new skaters for the Senators squad.
The whole purpose of the bronze league is to develop players, and when they are ready, move them on up to the D League. I feel that we (Senators) are doing just that by sending guys up to the Silver. We are graduating a few folks I guess you could say. The questions is what other teams are planning on graduating players after this season? If you are thinking about moving up to the D League like I said before, Fred is forming this Silver League squad, and right now has some room on the roster. Also this new Silver League team will be the best dressed adult league hockey team in the metroplex hands down.
Being the best dressed could come handy in figure skating competition, too… You go girls…
I know... Mac Donovan right? Ringer. Am I right?
actually mac is the furthest thing from a ringer. hes a very cool laid back guy who is misunderstood!
Zach Gunter Gators
isn't that a pink song
league Goalie whore
Give me a break. Instructional league isn't? Not a guy that can skate past five others and score. Should not have been here in the first place!
I know right
I know this is alot to ask, but can't we just get back to playing hockey instead of griping? Seriously. Let Nytex handle what they need to, and if they don't, then get used to it, and just play the game the best you can! I don't know about you all, but when i get outskated by someone better than me, it makes me try harder, go to more open skates, clinics, and whatever else i can do to get better. Sitting here bitching about it does NOTHING to help my game. If it helps your game, well, you have issues. And this is in no means directed towards anyone, but everyone. Thanks and have a nice day, and see you all tomorrow.
TAP TAP TAP
You guys need to remember that NYTEX only has 3 leagues Gold (A/B), Silver (C/D), and Bronze (Low Level D/I). This is not a true I League. Everybody needs to stop compaining and just have some fun learning and playing the game.
Maybe NYTEX should have more leagues to better separate "talent"...
Lets have some fun. Play some hockey. Show them guys in the soccer dome (previously our ice). We can have fun and fill up the bar and our glasses.
Come out on Thursdays at 6:15 for true instruction from Matt Burto, great class. Work on that skating and stick handling.
I did notice one thing last night at the two practices. Most of the players everyone hates on were the ones out on the ice practicing. Might be a correlation, might be cause and effect, might be be a fluke. Anyways, great to see everyone out working to get better.
I did hear the Bullets got their two pucks, so the Perry trade is now complete.
I did hear one of the teams was trying to recruit some of the Derby Girls to play?????? Could it have been Gator 156?
Looking foward to the playoffs. Lets all play hard and have some fun. Let me know if you are interested in moving up to the silver league. There are a few teams this summer looking for help and several spots on teams in the fall. Lets show them Silver leagers we can compete.

Yes, the Perry trade is complete. However, now that he’s on the Caines, That team is about to fold. Coincident…?
I’ve heard that after being rejected by our team, Perry is now trying to start his own team. I guess as a manger he might get the ice time his yearning…
His expansion team, the Banditados, is recruiting heavily from a Swedish junior team. In hope of that team might bring over their cheerleading squad, we should all support Perry’s effort…
Gator #156
PS: Rumors about me and the Derby girls are false. I’m too scared of them…
What did Perry pay for rights to the Hurricanes? Two rolls of tape? A pack of smokes? A pair of used socks, and a half empty bottle of Cologne?
Silver Angels # 1456
I heard the Canadian billionaire Jim Balsillie, has offered 3 packs of smokes and an Andy Moog rookie card to buy the team, but he wants to move it to Hamilton, Ontario. Since his deal to buy the Coyotes was shot down by the NHL. So who knows maybe it will end up with a bidding war for the team.
