Texas Brahmas are succeeding against all odds
By JIM REEVES
Don’t look now, folks, but as we speak, the most successful professional sports franchise in the Metroplex lies, oh, maybe 13 miles north and east of downtown Fort Worth.
That’s where you’ll find the Little Hockey Team That Could.
Or we could just call it the Team That Refused to Die.

Say hello, again, to your Texas Brahmas, and if you like your hockey teams playoff-bound, you’ll find one next weekend at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills.
I know, some folks still think the Brahmas simply dried up and blew away a couple of years ago, when they butted heads with the City of Fort Worth over playing dates at the Convention Center and ultimately suspended operations for a year.
That’s what makes the Brahmas’ resurgence such a special kind of story, because it goes against all odds.
