Some people on here have been saying that the blog is boring, or it sucks or whatever. So with the new decade upon us, its time to take the blog up a notch. The original creator and key holder to this blog has moved on to another town, and doesn’t have the time to be constantly updating, posting, etc. New posters can only be added by the key holder aka Dickie Dunn. However the blog that was the heroes of the silver league, and now resides as goon town is managed by yours truly. So what I can do is give posting rights to a few people so that we can spice it up a bit. There are already three people who can post stuff over on the other blog, so why not add a few more. If you want to have access to posting right and general internet goonery shoot an email to me over at bronzeleague@gmail.com , and I will sent an invite to the first 6 or 7 that want to sign up. I will make a post over on the other blog with all the teams logos so you can save them to your hard drive and use them in your postings. If you are going to post just make sure and have an alter ego set up like Dickie Dunn, Killer Carlson, Ogie Oggelthorpe, etc. Post about local hockey, NHL, Equipment, whatever, lets spice it up eh.

When is the weekend recap coming out?
Weekend recap will be a bit delayed. Hoping more people would take up the offer to become a blog poster, but so far no one has.
i see the jets have one guy with seven goals,everyone else is lucky if they have one point. Thats some real good team-work. I bet it is not his first time on the ice. lol. I league is such a joke.

I love it when folks say things like I League is a joke. If your game sucks work on it. Go to the open hockey. Go to pick up games. if someone is better than you dont bitch about it or feel sorry for yourself.
I league is a learning place. Are their players in their that need to move up, sure. are thier teams that bring in a ringer, damn skippy. Instead of moaning and going thats not fair.....PLAY HARDER.
Now if someone scores 7 points in one game then yes we need to call someone on that. Just because someone has 7 gaols on the season your just jealous.....

Im going to guess that guy is new to our i-league. The stats rarley are taken down correctly. The goals are normally good, but if you are looking at assist those are 99% wrong every time. Unless you honestly think almost every goal scored in this league is unassisted. But you cant really blame the refs for that because without replay or something like that Im sure they cant see who got the assists. Dont cry over someones points every team has one guy, but thats how it should be cause they teach other players.
The jets actually have good team work. kthxbye
The Jags have a great team with much depth. Take a look at stats.
Ice Kings had a great team last session. Take a look at stats.
The Jets rely on Zach Gunter to score all the points. He is not afraid to play all out just like he does in the Silver league, taking slapshots as hard as he can that sometimes go at people's heads. Instead of teaching he does it all himself. The Jets are nothing without him.

I love how some folks post here with out showing who they are. One person does not make a team. He helps alot but does not make the the team. I am sure Gunter does not play the whole time. He does sit on the bench. I have seen it. I am also sure other folks on the team have scored. he is not the only person on the team with gaols. Play your game and dont worry how others play theirs.
Zach has improved more people in this league than #99 pretended he did back in his hay day.
dont question me as a team mate or team player especially without putting your name. i pass when my team mates are open and when my team mates tell me to skate and go score thats what i try to do. all i do is support them and do what they ask me. and no i dont play hard all the time but i can start if thats what everybody wants.
when my team tells me to score i do -sounds like a ringer to me. btw nice threat now your going to play hard all the time !! what a tuff guy. Its instructional league dumb ass. Move up and stay there.
Actually as many have said, and many (including myself) have come to accept. Its Bronze League. If you want I-League go play at Euless. They're terrible.
The one time Zach acts like a ringer is against another ringer, he never goes out of his way to show up anyone. Ive watches the Jets play so I can say its un fair to say he is doing everything. He scores off of good passes from his team and only goes 1 on 1 against people like Kyle Kelly. Every team has one ringer that does something. Like Kyle he might not score but he shuts it down in the D side of the ice. So can we just play some hockey and get over it.
There is a reason NYTEX changed the name from "I" league to Bronze League! The league is no longer an "instructional" league. As the previous poster said "if you want to play in a true "I" league then go play at Euless"
NYTEX would rather eliminate the "I" in "I" league and collect more money than try and help grow the game by TEACHING new skaters how to play the game......
Hey I have a question for all the "OLDER" hockey players on this site.....
ARE YOU 40 YEARS OLD OR OLDER & TIRED OF PLAYING HOCKEY WITH A BUNCH OF WAYNE GRETZKY WANNABE'S????
Well then how many of you over age 40 would be interested in a 75 minute once a week senior pond hockey game. The game would probably be at 6:00am Saturday mornings or 6:00am Sunday Mornings. Rosters open to the first 36 players to sign up each week {3 goalies per team} Fee would be based on cost per hour of ice? blind draw for teams, 1:30 sec shifts, proof of age before being allowed to play, I know I can get 75 minutes of ice if there is enuff interest.....
Now the bashing is back. #99 comments still coming in. Zach Gunther is the star this session to be picked on. Saturday should be interesting as the Jags play the Jets. D League is even worse as far as sand baggers. Just play harder and get better. Ice Kings lost to Knute's team Crank it Up 18 to 3. The blog would not be entertaining without all the bashing and comments.
#14 - Jets: Saturday will tell a lot when the Jags play. It appears the Jags are in first place just as the Ice Kings were last session. Wearing #66 now. Stand on your head and see what number you got. I hope to help the Jags take the Stanley Keg. Be ready for some intense good hockey. That would be 2 Stanley Kegs in a row with different players. Will Zach Gunter be there Saturday? The Jags have depth and work well together as a team. See the stats as there is more than one person that scores goals.
Fags have one more game than the JETs, so no they are not in first place.
Uhhh, is it me or is this #66 player seem to be enamoured with himself? Trying to draw attention to the standing of his teams and his participation. What a team player! ME ME ME...look at ME!

As stated, the Jets have a game in hand. And this depth you speak of is simply more people playing down. No biggie though. We play as a team week in and week out as others have said, and the best part? We have a lot of fun every night.
You can have the Keg. I just want to play.
Oh and please end your obsession with me and my team. It's gotten to the point that I don't want to skate near you in fear of being raped.
Will not have to draw attention to myself. Jags will do it as a team and take the keg.

Gunter is not the only good player for the Jets. I have seen them play. Have you watched that 97 on their team? What a stud! He skates like the wind and what skill!

hey #66....from looking at the game sheet, it looks like you got shut down by Birdman. I'd think a super star like you would be able to score at will on a beginner goalie or is Birdman that tough?
