Spider Monkeys win 7-4

The Spider Monkeys took off like a rocket ship in this game going up 5-0 on Jaguars’ goalie Jack Bratley in the 1st and 2nd period, Jacob Day and Rob Montemayor each got a couple of goals and Mike Smith got one. The Jaguars’ Scott O’Donnell finally answered with a goal late in the 2nd period. Steven Pack scored one for the Spider Monkeys to go up 6-1 at the end of the 2nd but the 3rd Period was all Jaguars. Mike Best’s turn get pummeled as the Jaguars’ Jeremy Foster got 2 and O’Donnel got another to make it three in a row. SM’s Jacob Day poked the final one past Bratley to bring the final score to 7-4 in favor of the Spider Monkeys.

Penalties were the other story in this game with 18 PIM, 8 for the Jaguars and 10 for the Spider Monkeys.

P.S. – The Uniform Czar is extremely pleased with the helmet of Spider Monkey’s goalie Mike Best, which is a 3-D airbrushed spider monkey face. Awesometown.
