I have skated at The Parks before, and the ice is usually slow. The puck tends to bounce around a bit more than normal, too. I guess it is because it is harder to control the temperature and humidity in such a large open area like they have. But, in the end, both teams have to play on it, so.....
Ice is definitly softer at Parks. Partly because of the above mentioned issues and partly because they do a lot of figure skating on the ice...and everyone knows how the figure skaters like the ice soft....
